Is your labor in vain ?

labour in vain

Hey loves!

Hope everyone is well this Saturday. I wasn’t too sure what to talk about today, but when I came across this verse I knew I had to share it [1 Corinthians 15:58] and it’s relevance to my life. God’s been calling me to labour with purpose; not labor in vain.

Lately I have been aggressively trying to work on myself [Aggressively not so aggressively lol ]. God is in the process of bringing me to new heights that is going to require an ounce of discipline that by myself I cannot achieve. I am in a place in life where God is un-veiling my ministry and where he wants me to “WERK” lol ; and as nerve racking as it is, it’s humbly exciting! So, I KNOW I’m blessed, there is no doubt about that. It almost seems like there is no where I can go or nothing I can do where blessings don’t follow me. In as much as God blesses and blesses, even when I don’t do my part as his child — It can get very dangerous. ” Now what you mean by that Kristina? ” Great question! With blessings in abundance it is hard to imagine the hard times, when it seems like God is no where to be found. With blessing even when you are not connected to God spiritually because you haven’t prayed in a while or you are enslaved to sin, it is easy to miss the point ! I do not want to become a believer who is so consumed by the handy works of God and what He can do for me and my life that I neglect what I can do for him. I don’t want to become a believer who thinks that they don’t have to sacrifice greatly, and think they can still be blessed. But then when the tough times come. The times when God calls us to STAND FIRM.  Yes, there is no doubt that if you give God a try your life will change and prosperity will follow; I am proof. However, is that all? What does God get out of the deal. When the going gets tough will we still be there? When the work God has called us to do starts getting hard and demanding, will we throw in the towel? Will we be obey?

In 1 Corinthians 15:58 it says  Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

This verse is Challenging us to stands firm and that if we give ourselves to the work of the Lord, he will surely grant us victory in due time. I don’t want to be a Christian who only praises God when everything around me looks good. I want to be that girl that when everything around me looks hopeless, I’m still praising my Lord. Not because of what he is going to do for me, but just because he is Good! Simple. This starts from today though. It starts from praising God for every small thing in my day to day life. The perceived good and the perceived bad!
